쿠바에 가면 사진기가 발명되기 이전 사용하던 방식으로 

사진을 찍어주는 사진사를 만날 수 있다. 

필름 없이 인화지에 빛을 투과시켜 네거티브로 인화를 하고, 

그 인화지를 다시 찍어 흑백 사진을 만든다. 

우리는 기념으로 한장 찍어보기로 했다. 

그런데, 네커티브 인화까지 마친 후 

인화에 필요한 용액이 바닥나 다음 공정을 할 수 없단다. 

하는 수 없이 반값만 지불하고 

네거티브 사진을 받아들고 온 기억이 있다. 

여행에서 본 쿠바는 물자가 부족해 상점의 물건은 늘 비어있고, 

옛 물건을 고치고 또 고쳐 사용한다. 

나의 아이폰은 길면 3~4년 정도 더 사용할 수 있겠지만, 

그의 사진기는 고치고 또 고쳐가며 평생을 사용할 것이다. 

If you go to Cuba, you can meet a photographer

I remember having no choice 

but to pay half the price and accept negative photos.

and they repair and use old things again and again. 

My iPhone will last three or four years at the longest, 

but his camera will be fixed and fixed for the rest of his life.
